Day 29: Lillehammer to Copenhagen
735 km and 8 h of train
Today is train travel day. It is the part of the journey where it is not possible to reserve a seat or a place for my bike. So it all depends on how busy it will be.
At 6:15 i pack my bike and climb towards the station of Lillehammer. Luckily they have a shop which sells breakfast stuff on the go.
Just before the border of Sweden, the conductor announce that today the final destination of the train is on the Swedish border. Busses are organized as replacement to bring the passengers to Gothenburg. That’s worrying as the distance is 200 km, way to far for me to cycle. However, this time I am allowed to push my bike into the luggage space of the bus.
Many hours later, I cross the oresund between Sweden and Danmark. Three countries in one trip of 700 km. That something to get used to again. Just like the crowd on bikes in the center of Copenhagen, what a culture shock after one month in the Artic.
Charlottenlund Fort Camping
I found a camping which is located in a former fort at the seaside. I sleep on a platform on the wall, with a good view over the fort and its canons. It is a warm summer evening, a new experience on this journey.
Looking forward to spend a whole day in this city, before the last Train trip back to the Netherlands.
